The North East of England is a liberating environment, where one becomes unburdened by the throes of city life. Infused with charm, rolling hills and unforgettable landscapes. The work invites us to reveal our unguarded selves, in a place where we may explore our innate human nature.

A woman outdoors in a grassy field, wearing a large fur coat, with one arm raised, and striking dynamic poses.

Captured through the lens of photographer Anna Victoria Best, model and stylist Lara McGrath embodies the free-spirited sense of self that comes from a close connection to an unruly landscape.

In a state of carefree movement, Lara bounds across a timeless place, outside of the usual limitations of urban life.

A woman with light skin and brown hair is standing on a dirt trail in a natural outdoor setting with trees and foliage, wearing a loose white shirt, cream-colored pants, and matching high heel shoes.

Pictured at Anna’s farmhouse in the area, this project is an ode to the enduring beauty of the natural world, as it continues to inspire us since time immemorial. The series invites us revel in the elevation of spirit that comes from freedom amongst wide open plains.

In a series of three, three-day shoots, Best documented self-styled McGrath at her Northumberland farmhouse. The pair generated a vast archive of imagery exporting a liberated existence in nature.

The new title is the result of a three-year-long collaboration, and dives into the openness between the pair. Together, they create a world beyond confines of city pressures, where our innate desire for play and freedom reigns.
